What’s in a house?
You may be wondering what is the purpose of having a house. For one, your house in millsberry is a way to showoff your wealth (it’s ok to showoff for once :P) as well a way to show your creativity. Not only do you get to decide how to decorate your house, but you also get to decide how to furnish it.
First, lets go over the basics to building a house. To build a room, head over to Pete’s construction and click on the sign that says “Add a Room”, or just follow this link. Now you will be presented with a floor plan. Simply click on the square that you want to create a room on and you will be presented with many differents options to style your room. Keep in mind, that every room cost 2,500mb to build.
Now that you have a room, your probably saying “hmm, I should furnish it”. Good thinking. Once you buy some furniture from any number of stores, visit your home and click on the room that you want to furnish. From there, just add any items you want to your room.
To get a second floor in your house, you must first fill in all of the first floor with room or yard areas. Those areas are the nine squares in the middle. Then when you go to Add a Room, you can go up another floor. Keep in mind though that you can only add a second-story room onto an existing room and that the second-story rooms cannot be built onto yards.
There you go, the basics to building a house. To help you build the perfect house, here are some player submitted tips:

1) Make one room for every theme like:
Halloween Room
Guestrooms
Pool Area
Silver Room
Antique Room
Music Room
etc.
2) Try to limit your rooms to about 2 levels. The millsberry community only chooses true houses, like in real life. So try to limit rooms, unlike I did.
3) Make your rooms like you would normally have in your own house, with a little sprinkle of unlikeliness of reality.
4) Try not to put items that would go out of the theme of the room.
5) Also, try not to overflow your room with items.

1) Make a room to represent a theme. Holidays, colors, antiques, music studio, anything you can think of!
2) Try not to put items in rooms where they don’t belong. For example, don’t put a toilet in your yard or a bed in the bathroom.
3) Make most of your rooms look like rooms that could be in real life. Make the other rooms unique and totally creative and unreal that’ll blow people’s minds to space.
4) If your stuff is overcrowded, try not to make a room to store it all. That’s what the basement is for. It may seem more convenient, but it certainly doesn’t look nice.
5) If you’re out of ideas for your room, don’t be afraid to look at other people’s houses for ideas. They might be really good. Don’t copy it though. That’s asking for trouble.

I like using things differently in my rooms.
Like if you won a snowboarding or surfing trophy, you could elevate a snow or surf board up on the wall like a shelf to display it.
I disagree with iluvalberto, people expect things in the right spot, but the gazette is looking for creativity, and thats what i plan to do when i build up the funds

If you want some good and cheap supplies check out my gararge sale at 85327-D Bluebird Street Lakeview and if you want to become a buddie check it out at Jurnstar on the little buddie search underneath your person and your stats and all that stuff. and a tip to this game is to try and find cheap supplies at gararge sales its the bestest tip you will ever come across and another tip is to buy cheap supplies at gararge sales and put it into your gararge sale then put the prices a bit higher then the other persons price you brought the supplie from. and dont buy all the cool things like games and laptops and pets until you have got all the main rooms and stuff you need first. please check out my house XOX Jurnstar
